HOUSTON - CeeDee Lamb caught 17 passes for 189 yards, including Dak Prescott's game-winning touchdown pass with 1:43 to play, as the Dallas Cowboys rallied to stun the Houston Texans 34-30 on Sunday at Reliant Stadium.
Lamb finished one catch shy of the franchise record for receptions in a game, set by Jason Witten in 2012. The Cowboys evened their record at 2-2, while the Texans dropped to 0-4.
The Texans took a 30-27 lead with 2:23 remaining on Woody Marks' 6-yard touchdown run. The score was set up by a 21-yard hook-and-lateral play from C.J. Stroud to Dalton Schultz and David Montgomery.
Prescott and Lamb answered, leading an 11-play, 74-yard drive that ended with Lamb's 12-yard touchdown catch with 40 seconds remaining.
Lamb had six catches for 49 yards at the half as the Cowboys' offense managed just 121 total yards and trailed 16-6.
The Cowboys did not take a lead until the 11:17 mark in the fourth quarter after Javonte Williams' third touchdown run of the day. Williams had touchdown runs of 8, 1 and 2 yards - all in the second half.
Prescott finished 32-of-45 for 335 yards and a touchdown. Stroud was 21-of-31 for 347 yards and two touchdowns - both of which went to Nico Collins in his return from a hamstring injury that kept him out for two games.
The Cowboys host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on "Thursday Night Football" in Week 5. The Texans are at winless Tennessee (0-4) next week.

The Cowboys' offense looked dead in the first half. How was Dallas able to turn it around in the second half?
It was obviously more than one player, but Lamb was the biggest reason. He had what was probably the best game as a Dallas Cowboy. Any time Dallas needed a big play, Prescott went to his favorite target. It clearly helps having George Pickens on the same team as defenses shift a lot of coverage his way. Still, Lamb has to get open and make the most of his opportunities, which he certainly did Sunday in Houston. Lamb was targeted 21 times and caught a career-high 17 passes for 189 yards and the game-winning touchdown. - Machota
Did Dallas' defense take a step forward or is there more to be desired?
They did. Plenty to still clean up, but the signs of improvement were there. It helped to play a quarterback who isn't known for his mobility, like Dallas faced the first three weeks. The biggest difference is that some of the veterans, like Quinnen Williams and Rashan Gary, showed up and played like most expected entering the season. It wasn't pretty, but the Cowboys don't necessarily have to be great defensively to win with their talented offense. Their defense made the necessary stops. This is one they should be able to build on. - Machota
What are your thoughts on Joey Porter Jr.'s debut for the Cowboys?
He played more than I thought he would, and he looked as good as advertised. It was clear from the first series that Stroud wasn't all that interested in targeting receivers near Porter. His sights were much more focused on DaRon Bland. It was a good start for Porter. He should only get better the more he plays with his new teammates. - Machota
It's over - at least it feels like it - for a team that was a trendy Super Bowl pick entering the season. While the Texans can hang their hat on being the only franchise to come back from 0-3 to make the playoffs this century (they've done so twice, in 2018 and 2025), 0-4 is another ballgame.
Collins' return from injury did provide some offensive spark today. Stroud was solid and took care of the ball. It wasn't enough. Thirteen penalties for 90 yards is not ideal and arguably cost Houston this game. The Texans' dominating defense from last year has lost a step.
Who knows what's next? Right now, there are more questions than answers about the future of this franchise. - Adam Coleman
