Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Effective date

1. Scope

  • This Privacy Policy applies to this website and to the content channels it links to. We are a content aggregation and distribution site: we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, postal address or phone number through this site.

2. Information we collect

  • Access logs: IP address, request time, requested URL, HTTP status code, referring page and user agent. These are the logs any web server produces.
  • Device and browser information: device type, operating system, browser name and version, screen size and interface language.
  • Approximate region: a country or region derived from your IP address. This is not a precise location, and we do not collect GPS or precise positioning data.
  • This site requires no login and has no account system, so the three categories above are everything this site can produce.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

  • This site uses browser local storage to remember your language choice. When third-party advertising services serve ads on this site, those services use cookies and similar technologies (web beacons, pixel tags, local storage) to deliver and measure advertising.
  • You can delete or block cookies in your browser at any time, and you can browse in a private window. If you block them the site still works: your language choice is simply not remembered, and ads become less relevant.

4. Third-party advertising and Google

  • This site displays advertising through third-party advertising services, including Google. Those services use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and to other websites.
  • Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google’s advertising cookies include what has historically been known as the DoubleClick DART cookie, which enables it to serve ads based on your visits to this site and to other sites on the Internet.
  • Third-party vendors use cookies subject to their own privacy policies. We can neither read nor control those cookies.

5. How to opt out of personalized advertising

  • You can turn personalized advertising off through either of the two links at the end of this section. Opting out does not stop advertising — it stops ads being selected on the basis of your browsing history.
  • You can also block or delete third-party cookies in your browser. On mobile devices there are system-level advertising controls as well, such as “Limit Ad Tracking” and resetting your advertising identifier.

6. Your rights

  • You may ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you, and you may object to or restrict our processing of it. Contact us and we will act once we have verified the request.
  • If you are in the EEA or the UK: the GDPR gives you the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our legal basis for processing log data is our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and running; advertising-related processing and its consent mechanism are provided by the third-party advertising services.
  • If you are in California: the CCPA and CPRA give you the rights to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Interest-based advertising may count as “sharing” under the CCPA, and you can opt out using the links in section 5.

7. Children’s privacy

  • This site is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to the address below and we will delete it.

8. Retention and security

  • Access logs are kept only as long as needed to diagnose faults and keep the site secure, and are then deleted or anonymized. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Changes to this policy

  • We may update this policy. When we do, we change the effective date at the top of this page; if a change materially affects your rights we will say so prominently on this page. Continuing to use this site means you accept the updated policy.

10. Contact us

  • If you have a question about this policy, or want to exercise any of the rights above, please contact us using either of the channels below:
